What to Expect from the Scholar Warrior Program/Staff
From the very first day our staff arrives at your facility we work hard to bring excitement to your children and keep them engaged! Our staff specializes in giving personalized and individual attention to children who need it, all the while keeping the class moving forward and progressing on schedule as a whole through the prescribed curriculum.
We bring more with us than decades of martial arts instruction. All of the equipment needed is provided by our staff. We use pads and other targets for striking to help them develop their hand eye coordination (I’ve been told that punching & kicking them is fun, too!) The drills are designed to increase their speed, accuracy, and help them become accustomed to assessing spacial relationships and distances. As they continue to grow and develop other interests, these lessons will serve them well if they decide to participate in sports or other physical endeavors.
Even though everything that we do with the children has lots of obviously fun content, we realize that it can’t all be ‘work work work’. We provide ‘games’ and contests that not only help teach them more about the lessons they learn through the practice of martial arts, but teach them about Chinese culture as well. We also use a number of visual aids such as placards and flash cards to help in teaching our ‘Lesson of the Day’ and to keep them engaged.
This is a very unique set of activities for children, and for most it’s the only time in their lives that they’ll be able to enjoy this once in a lifetime experience. Because of this, we’ve developed a series of embellishments that we’ve seen make our program one of the most memorable events they’ll ever participate in!
